Are you part of a denomination?
We are
not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations.
We are an independent church that seeks to define itself as a
Christian community and not by the baggage that is carried by
denominational titles.
Is there a dress code?
No! There
is absolutely no dress code. We believe the focus of Christ was
on one's heart and not on their outer appearance.
Do I need to bring a Bible?
No
you do not need to bring a Bible. Every person will be given a
sheet with the Bible text on it. However, if you have a Bible
and feel comfortable using it, you are welcome to bring it.
Do I need to be a Christian to attend?
No, you
do not need to be a Christian to attend. We are completely comfortable
with people coming to explore, learn or simply observe Christianity.
You will not be put on the spot, embarrassed or asked to do anything
in the meeting.
Will I feel out of place if I don't know the Bible?
No, you
will not feel out of place if you don't know the Bible. The people
who attend are at all different levels of understanding and familiarity
with the Bible and we consider ourselves learners. You will not
be put on the spot, embarrassed or asked to do anything in the
meeting.
What is the worship like?
Most
of our people enjoy a contemporary worship style, however, each
house church is unique and may do worship differently. Please
see our page on worship.
Why
the focus on house churches?
Please
see our page on house churches.
What is the average age of the people
who attend the church?
We welcome
people of all ages and we think you will feel comfortable and
fit in. The majority of the people in our church are between 25
and 40 years of age.
What about children?
Families
with children are welcome at both our houses churches and our
Central Teaching. House churches that already have children attending
will be better prepared with activities that are both interesting
and spiritually helpful for your children. We highly value a family
oriented church and are very excited to see families with children
of all ages attend.
What do you believe?
Please
see our page on what we believe.
